Hake’s Auction: $52k record price for Howard Chaykin, with a page from Star Wars #1, funny thing I just discovered: $50k is the market price for a 9.8 slabbed copy of the same comic.
Hake’s is strong on color guides, so let’s see the highest prices: $17k for the vintage Amazing Spider-Man #36 complete issue by Stan Goldberg, $4k for the complete set for X-Men #109 by Andy Yanchus, $900 for the cover from Star Wars #52, $800 for the cover from U-X-Men #202.
Nate Sanders Auctions: $19k for a 1956 Peanuts daily, $5,6k and $5,6k for two signed Calvin & Hobbes books, the Bill Watterson signed print that routinely sells on HA for around $20k went unsold at $6k. If you have $6k lying around you know what to do…
