I’m late… yesterday I had work to do. Lots of things to see everywhere, we’re looking at the HA International results and with no time to rest we start looking into the next Signature Auction.
Heritage International Auction: $225k record price for Daredevil original art by Frank Miller, $175k for the Tintin illustration, $144 is one of the top prices paid for Spider-Man art by John Romita, $109k for a Little Nemo page by McKay.
This page had to make a record: $81k for the first Metabarons page by Gimenez, $72k is a very high jump for Krazy Kat original art, and with a 1938 Sunday, let’s wait for an earlier example to make a new record.
Marvel: the John Byrne pages are ending tomorrow, X-Men, X-Men 2, Power Man, Iron-Fist and the Cap America page by Sal Buscema is still pretty low.
Look at this X-Factor page by Steve Epting, a Spidey Sunday page by Saviuk, G.I. Joe by Andrew Wildman, Strikeforce by Brent Anderson, Guardians by Valentino.
A page from Punisher #1 by Jim Lee, the price is not bad and he’s accepting offers.
The asking price is two time its value, but I like this full figure Spidey commission by JRJR, this one is much quicker (and cheaper) but still nice. This Conan page by Buscema has been for sale for a year, but the price spike of the last months took this to market price.
DC: an uncredited (and rare) Kelley JonesBatman page, it’s already at $3k, so it’s not a secret… a Batman page by Sean Murphy, very nice Batman commission by Lee Weeks, a Wonder Woman page by Gene Colan, a Steel page by Bogdanove.
Remember the low Jim Lee results from last week’s ComicLink auction? The new owner of the Batman design (paid $1,6k) is trying a quick flip with a $15k (?) Buy It Now.
Some Flash pages by LaRocque, a Superman page by Saviuk, a Batman page by Bo Hampton, Green Arrow by Phil Hester.
Dale Keown fans will be happy with a never seen big pile of covers and pages, there’s also a Hulk cover by Gary Frank, a Sabretooth cover by Texeira, X-Men by Jae Lee, many TMNT covers and pages by Eastman.
