Heritage Weekly Auction: $14k Record for a From Hell page by Eddie Campbell, $14k for a Swamp Thing page by Bissette, very high $10k for a Nexus page by Rude. Early Invincible pages by Cory Walker are growing high, but look at this page from #95 sold for $8k… So the high prices are not for early Invincible pages, but for rare Invincible pages (drawn by Walker).
Catawiki Auction: €5,6k for the 12 page lot of Batman original art by Alcatena, €1,6k for the page by Vance, €1,5k is a good price for any published Moebius illustration, €1k for the Junglemen page by Pratt.
Low €550 for the Phantom Stranger page by Mignola, low €400 for the trading card art by Mike Allred, €400 for the published Torpedo strip by Bernet, €350 for the illustration.
Heritage Signature Auction: Record price for Don Heck, with the first appearance of Iron-Man, Rob Liefeld record price, he also enters the $100k club, with the iconic Captain America illustration sold for $132k, another iconic piece for ’90s kids like me was the cover to Deathblow #1 by Jim Lee, but to me the $102 end price is much more surprising than the Liefeld. Record price also for Whilce Portacio, but the price for the X-Men DPS stops just at $99k, another very surprising result.
Record price for Cory Walker, with a page from Invincible #1, sold for $33k. Very low $29k for a baseball themed Peanuts Sunday, low $18k for a Tarzan page by Foster, $17k record for Frank Cho, with a Wonder Woman cover. Sold for $6,4k on eBay last July, this Superman cover by Garcia Lopez went for $15,5k, pretty good deal for the seller… $10k for an Excalibur trading card by Alan Davis and I’ll stop going down to keep this short.
Urania Auction: €20k for an illustration by Giardino, €15k for a Valentina page by Crepax, €11k for a strip by Manara, €6k for a full Gesebel issue by Magnus, €5k for a Druuna page by Serpieri, €3,5k for a page by Frollo, €3k for a Batman page by Kelley Jones, €2,7k for a Captain America page by Zeck, €1,5k for a Shade page by Bachalo, €1,5k for a Batman cover by Pat Gleason.
