This week on eBay
Scott Kolins – Wolverine Cover Original Art
Not a great week for eBay, many nice pieces but nothing sensational. We start with a Spiderman page by Humberto Ramos, a J. J. Jameson/Green Goblin splash by Stuart Immonen, a Spidey/Cap/Doom original by Rich Buckler and a Venom page by Ron Lim. A Wolverine cover by Scott Kolins still at $28 with only 24 hours to go.
Conan by Buscema/Chan and Buscema/DeZuniga, Silver Surfer by Marshall Rogers, a nice Avengers page by Gene Colan, Captain America by Kieron Dwyer, a very nice Punisher half-splash by Wigham/Nebres, a Fantastic Four page by Steve Epting and a Black Cat commission by Jim Cheung.
DC Comics: a Wonder Woman half body commission by Jim Lee, 2 full figure commissions by John Byrne, Aquaman and Sgt. Rock, 3 Flash pages by Don Heck. A Scarecrow page by David Finch, a Batman/JSA double page by Stephen Segovia, an early Adam Hughes page from JLA and a nice World’s Finest by George Tuska. Hawkman by Dick Dillin, Teen Titans title page by Don Heck and Superman/Supergirl by Curt Swan.
A Star Wars title page by Howard Chaykin, a Walking Dead half-splash by Charlie Adlard, a Tomb Raider by Tony Daniel and some strips: 1949 Alley Oop daily, our usual Green Berets daily by Joe Kubert, a funny Beetle Bailey and a very nice Doodlebugs illustration.
Heritage Sunday Auction
Frank Cho – Black Cat original Art
4 high end pieces this week, I always wonder if these would reach a bigger audience in the Signature Auctions… a Jill Thompson Sandman page, a great, painted Thor cover by Esad Ribic, a cover quality Black Cat illustration by Frank Cho and a sketchbook page by Robert Crumb from 1962.
DC: a great Batman page by Brown/Giella, a moody Batman page by Alan Davis and a Superman Origin page by Curt Swan from Action #500! Look at the circular movement in this Hawkman page by Richard Howell.
A lot of John Buscema original art this week, like this Avengers page, Dracula, Conan and this funny page with Marie Severin. A Namor splash by Geof Isherwood, Hulk Vs. Skrulls by Dale Keown and a painted Thing Vs. Wolverine card painting by Ray Lago.
A Russ Manning complete story and a Russ Heath war page, then some strips, seems that the Dick Tracy, On Stage and Orphan Annie stacks came to an end, this week we have a Rusty Riley daily, a Floyd Gottfredson Mickey Mouse and Al Williamson drawing Venice in this Corrigan daily.
