Juanjo Guarnido – Blacksad Original Art
Let’s see what’s on Ebay this week. A Superman cover by Philip Tan is still pretty low at $300 and a funny Captain Marvel Poster art by Shaffenberger. A strange Spiderman/Black Cat commission by Chris Bachalo and a Steampunk sketch. A very nice Buckler page from Fantastic Four #150 with many characters and two nice commissions: Punisher by Zeck and Beatty and a Ron Frenz Thor from 1992.
Strips: a handful of funny Zits strips by Jim Borgman, the same seller has a B.C. Halloween 1977 daily by Johnny Hart and a Bettle Bailey daily by Mort Walker. We come to an end with a sexy Blacksad pin-up by Guarnido.
Heritage Sunday Auction
Tuska/Everett/Colletta – Iron-Man Original Art
Another great Sunday Auction. Collectors who only follow the big auctions are passing a lot of great art every week, but we are different! 😉 After a few weeks losing many potential bids, HA is finally starting to give credit to John Buscema for the pencils and Neal Adams for likenesses in these Star Trek pages. A great Curt Swan display piece with Superman and Wonder Woman Vs. Luthor may go for cheap, as it was published in a Radio Shack giveaway… A nice Ryan Ottley Invincible page. A classic Mike Deodato Hulk page from the 90’s and a Tuska, Everett and Colletta Iron-Man Vs. Namor page. A very well drawn Snuffy Smith Sunday by Billy DeBeck and a double Captain and the Kids/Hackshaw Sunday by Dirks and Mager from 1943. A rare Little Orphan Annie daily by Harold Gray and a Floyd Gottfredson daily with Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy.
Russ Cochran Auctions
Dik Browne – Hagar the Horrible Sunday Original Art
The Jack Davis full story from Tales From The Crypt is about to end. A funny Dennis the Menace daily panel by Hank Ketcham and a Hagar the Horrible Sunday by Dik Browne.
